Firstly: you must be committed 100% to the game. in order to have a successful season try to stay away from the alcohol as it affects your fitness greatly so you just spitting yourself! and having to work much harder to stay fit!
Secondly: Sleeping,eating and training are important to get the most out of your game, without being fit you will just put more strain on yourself and that is where injuries will happen. so stay fit but most of all of HAVE FUN, enjoy the game its a great sport! :)
